When we started Blueflame, we believed AI could fundamentally change how M&A professionals work — but only if it was built around the realities of their work.
That belief has shaped Blueflame from the beginning. We created a purpose-built platform around the data and workflows deal professionals rely on every day. Then, with Amp, we took the next step: an agent built for dealmaking that could reason across that information, orchestrate models, tools, and skills, and execute complex, multi-step work.
Today, we’re taking another important step.
We’re bringing Blueflame and Grata together in Grata Intelligence, combining Blueflame’s agentic capabilities with direct access to Grata’s proprietary market data and the broader context surrounding every M&A opportunity.
Together, we provide the largest AI platform for M&A, serving over 3,000 customers and processing over one trillion tokens annually.
Why direct access to Grata data matters
This has been part of Blueflame's vision from the start: the quality of an AI agent isn’t determined by the underlying model alone. It depends on the data and context available to it, how effectively that information is retrieved, and how intelligently the work is orchestrated.
With Grata Intelligence, we’ve built an agentic M&A workspace that brings those elements together in one environment.
Blueflame is purpose-built to work across complex investment information and execute multi-step M&A workflows. What’s new with Grata Intelligence is direct access to Grata’s proprietary market data, connected with internal firm knowledge, VDR and deal documents, connected sources, and the context that develops as an opportunity progresses.
When more relevant information is already integrated and available to Blueflame, the agent can spend less time searching for and assembling context and more time reasoning over that information and executing the work that follows. That can improve quality, speed, and cost at the same time.
And we can measure the difference.
On the same sourcing workflow, Blueflame with directly integrated Grata data delivered an 84% lower cost than a leading frontier model accessing Grata data through MCP. Compared with a leading frontier model without Grata data, it delivered a 29% higher quality score. And on complex VDR analysis, Blueflame is 3x faster than a frontier model while operating at 51% lower cost.

These results demonstrate something important: better AI for M&A isn’t just about the model. It comes from combining the right data and context with an agent built to retrieve, reason, orchestrate, and execute against it.
What this means for Blueflame customers
For Blueflame customers, Grata Intelligence creates a connected M&A data foundation for the agent to work from. That means the firm data, connected sources, and deal content Blueflame has already been built to work with now sits alongside Grata’s differentiated market intelligence in one connected environment.
Grata Intelligence becomes the new experience for working with Blueflame across this connected M&A data foundation—not simply a new interface for the Blueflame platform.
The value comes from bringing the best of Grata and Blueflame together: connected data and context to know where to focus, and agentic execution to move the work forward, from first look through close and monitoring.
Blueflame across Datasite
Grata Intelligence is part of a broader evolution for Blueflame.
Blueflame is becoming Datasite’s M&A agent, available across more of the places where dealmakers—and the systems they use—do their work.
When Blueflame joined Datasite, one of the opportunities we were most excited about was connecting what we had built to more of the data, infrastructure, and workflows behind M&A. Bringing Blueflame and Grata together is a significant step toward realizing that opportunity.
For Blueflame customers, that means richer, more connected data and context for the agent they already know. For Grata customers, it means the ability to move beyond finding and evaluating opportunities and execute more of the work across the deal lifecycle.
The common thread is Blueflame: the M&A-specific intelligence and execution layer working across an expanding set of Datasite experiences.
That is the next step in Blueflame’s evolution: better data, more connected context, and more ways to put the agent to work across M&A.
